Episode 11 Option Trading Strategies May 26 2018

Welcome to The Weekly Option, a weekly program that offers practical trades and discussion for beginners and professionals alike.

This week the Dow ended the week 38 points higher, finishing at 24,753. The S&P was slightly higher as well, rising 8.36 points to finish the week at 2721.33. Both indices finished less than half a percent higher on the week.

We are looking forward to earnings from the following companies: Booz Allen (BAH), Hewlett Packard (HPQ), DSW, Guess, Michael Kors, Lululemon, Costco, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, American Eagle, and Abercrombie & Fitch.

In this episode we discuss the results from last week’s trades on MongoDB (MDB) and the ETF for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DIA). There was a data error that made the XLF trade not able to be executed.

We then discuss the trades for this week, including a covered call on TherapeuticsMD (TXMD), a credit spread on the ETF for the Russell 2000 Index (IWM), and debit spreads on IWM as well as Nike (NKE).
