The US equity markets were relatively unchanged week-over-week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the week at 25,106 points, only 42 points higher than last week. The S&P 500 Index added 1.35 points this week, finishing the week at 2707.88 points.
There are 443 publicly traded companies in the US that will be announcing quarterly earnings this week. On Tuesday I will watch Under Armour, Occidental Petroleum, Denny’s, Groupon, HubSpot, and Trip Advisor. On Wednesday DISH Network, Marathon Oil, Yelp, and MGM Resorts will announce earnings. On Thursday we’ll hear from Applied Materials, Sonoco Philips, Coca-Cola, Kraft Heinz, and Waste Management. And on Friday Deere & Company and PepsiCo will announce quarterly earnings.
In this week’s show, we will cover the trades from last week on Transocean Group, IBM, and Starbucks.
And we discuss three new trades on Barrick Gold, Morgan Stanley, and Cisco Systems.
