Episode 38 December 1, 2018

Welcome to The Weekly Option, a weekly program that offers practical trades and discussion for beginners and professionals alike.

It’s always great to hear from listeners. If you have any questions about the trades presented here or about your own positions, feel free to email me.

Email questions to me: eric@theweeklyoption.com

I’ve also created a short video series to teach you all the basics of option trading you’ll need to be able to follow along with me on this show. You can visit our website and click on the videos tab to watch them, or visit our YouTube Channel for The Weekly Option.com.

The equity markets finished the week stronger, with the S&P 500 leading the charge. The Index was up 127 points, nearly 5% this week, finishing at 2,760 points. Of course, that really just offsets the significant drop it had last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 252 points, ending the week at 25,538 points. That a nearly 1% move higher on the week for the Dow.

There are 99 publicly traded companies announcing earnings this week in the US. On Tuesday we will hear earnings reports from Toll Brothers and Dollar General. On Wednesday, American Eagle, Lululemon, Lands End, and H&R Block will all announce. On Thursday we will hear from Kroger and on Friday Vail resorts will report quarterly earnings.

In this week’s show, we will cover the trades from last week on Foot Locker, Wells Fargo, Facebook.

And we discuss three new trades on Urban Outfitters, Best Buy, E&P Oil and Gas Services ETF.
